Samos is an island in the greek archipelago. Samos is 43 km long and 13 km wide. It is one of the most fertile islands of the Aegean Sea. This means that the island is full of trees and the green matches great with the blue sea.
Perhaps the most famous persons ever connected with Samos were Pythagoras. In 1955 the town of Tigani was renamed Pythagoreio in honour of the famous mathematician.
